Rumor has it the Detroit rapper’s new project is not too far away.
Eminem‘s follow up to 2013’s The Marshall Mathers LP II may arrive in a few months time. Rap-Up has pointed to a report from Hits Daily Double suggesting that Eminem is expected to release his 9th studio album this fall. While there has been little to no official updates on Em’s next project, last month an UPROXX interview with The Defiant Ones director Allen Hughes revealed that Dr. Dre was currently working on music for the rapper’s impending album.
Last October, Eminem released an 8-minute track called “Campaign Speech.” In July, 2 Chainz confirmed that he had worked with Em on some new material.
The HDD report also suggests that Taylor Swift and Sam Smith will likely release new projects in the fall as well. If the rumors are true, it should be a huge third quarter for UMG and the music industry at large.
